Absolutely agree - another point I would add to the argument of inauthenticity is that because most of us are somewhat informed of how platforms and creators make money (advertising), and the prevalence of content farms whose only purpose is to make money by essentially tricking people into paying attention - people feel used, exploited by AI slop. The same way a scammy street vendor selling plastic crystals to cure every disease or "holy water" that he got from the nearby tap, AI has that feel, because the implied notion of content and reason to share it is that it means something to us, something we made, we are proud of, something impressive with a story behind it. AI has no story behind it as you said.

No one is "proud" to post something AI generated, they are trying to hide it when they can because deep down they know they are "cheating" and the audience knows too.
